Robert Edward FREEMAN

University Professor and Elis and Signe Olsson Professor of Business Administration at the Darden School of the University of Virginia, is particularly known for his work on stakeholder theory (1984) and on business ethics. Holds a B.A. in mathematics and philosophy from Duke University a Ph.D. in philosophy from Washington University in 1978. He is also adjunct professor of stakeholder management at the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark, visiting professor at Nyenrode Business School (Netherlands), adjunct professor of management at Monash University (Melbourne). He has held honorary appointments as the Welling Professor at George Washington University and the Gourlay Professorship at University of Melbourne. Prior to coming to the Darden School, Freeman taught at University of Minnesota and the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Author or editor of over 30 volumes and 150 articles in the areas of stakeholder management, business strategy and business ethics he is best known for his award winning book: Strategic Management: A Stakeholder Approach (Cambridge, 2010), originally published in 1984, in which he traced the origins of the stakeholder idea.

He was recently awarded honorary doctorates (DHC) in economics from Comillas University in Madrid, the Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki, and an honorary doctorates in management from Radboud University in Nijmegen, Netherlands and Sherbrooke University in Canada for his work on stakeholder theory and business ethics. Throughout his career, he has received a number of teaching awards from the Wharton School, the Carlson School, the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, the State of Virginia and the Academy of Management. He has received Lifetime Achievement Awards from the World Resources Institute and Aspen Institute, the Humboldt University Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility, the Academy of Management and the Society for Business Ethics. He has worked with many executives and companies around the world, and his writing on stakeholder theory has been translated into many languages.

Jacob Dahl RENDTORFF

Professor of philosophy of management and business ethics at the Department of Business and Social Sciences, Roskilde University, Denmark. Rendtorff’s research has a broad perspective on organization theory, management, responsibility, ethics and legitimacy of business firms and corporations, corporate social responsibility, business ethics, sustainability, bioethics and biolaw, human rights, political theory and philosophy of law. Rendtorff is educated in philosophy and political sciences in Copenhagen, Paris and Berlin, and he has been visiting professor in many universities (Utrecht, Rome, Freiburg, Boston, Stanford, Santa Clara, Louvain, Shanghai, Besancon, Paris, and Tubingen). Rendtorff has written and edited on issues of existentialism and hermeneutics, French philosophy, ethics, bioethics, business ethics and philosophy of management as well as philosophy of law. Rendtorff’s recent publications are Handbook of Business Legitimacy, Springer 2020, Philosophy of Management and Sustainability, Emerald 2019, Cosmopolitan Business Ethics. Towards a Global Ethos of Management, Routledge 2017 and Stakeholder Theory a Model for Strategic Management, Springer 2016. Rendtorff is a member of the steering committee of the European Business Ethics Network (EBEN) and of the Steering Committee of FISP (International Federation of Philosophical Societies). Rendtorff is editor of the Springer Series Ethical Economy, associate editor of Social Responsibility Journal (Emerald) and European editor of Journal of Business Ethics Education. Presently, Rendtorff’ s main research interests are philosophy of management, stakeholder theory, sustainability, CSR, and cosmopolitan business ethics.

Geert DEMUIJNCK

Professor of Business Ethics at EDHEC Business School. He joined the school in 2008. He teaches courses in business ethics, economic ethics and philosophy. His research and publications focus on business ethics, economic ethics and political philosophy. He studied philosophy, economics, and politics and holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Leuven. At the AC in Lille in 2014, he was elected for the EBEN Executive Committee. Vice-président - Responsable du Pôle Recherche du Cercle d’Ethique des Affaires (Paris) - Editorial board member of Business & professional ethics journal (Chicago), Ethical Perspectives (Leuven), Ethique Economique – Ethics and Economics (Versailles). Consultancy work for Auchan, Trois Suisses, Orange, external advisory board of KBC Bank.

Yotam LURIE

Professor of Business Ethics at the Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel. He was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where he earned his PhD in Philosophy. His current research areas are in Business and Professional Ethics, Ethics in Information Technology, and Philosophy of Management. He served as Chair of the Department of Management and as the Academic Director of the Executive and International MBA Programs. He is the President of EBEN-Israel and the Chairperson of the Israeli Association for Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability. Has done consultancy work for different organizations, especially in the areas of organizational ethics.

Iuliu STOCKLOSA

President of the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIB), the biggest and oldest regional chamber of Romania. With a tradition of over 150 years of uninterrupted activity, helping businessmen, CCIB provides permanently to the Romanian companies all the tools and solutions required in order to remain active and grow in the global competitive market.

Since 1991 Mr. Iuliu Stocklosa is an active member of the chamber system and since 2005 is involved in its management. He led many economic missions, especially in Maghreb, Central Asia, Middle and Far East and for 10 years he was coordinator of the CCIB office in Tanger ( Kingdom of Morocco), offering Romanian companies interested to develop their activity in the Maghreb region a full support package, helping also Moroccan companies to find suitable Romanian partners.

With an extended entrepreneurship and management experience, Mr. Iuliu Stocklosa manages 7 major companies, involved in the production of auto parts and components, railway infrastructure, metallurgical industry, chemical and petrochemical industry, food industry, energy, transport and tourism. In 2020, he was named Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyzstan Republic in Romania.

Adriana GRIGORESCU

Professor of management at NUPSPA since 2003 and Correspondent Member Academy of Romanian Scientists Department IX of Economic, Legal and Sociological Sciences, is Ph.D. Supervisor at Valahia University from Targoviste Doctoral School, Member of National Council for Attestation of University Titles, Diplomas and Certificates (CNATDCU), Evaluator of The Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ARACIS). With a multidisciplinary education (Bachelor in Chemistry-Physics and Commerce-Marketing, Master of Modern Governance and European Integration and Ph.D. in Accounting she is teaching courses of Project Management and Marketing for Public Sector. Researcher in comparative analysis and diagnosis, forecasting and integrated systemic studies, knowledge transfer from business to public, education and labor management is holding the position of General Director of Global Economy and Governance Interdisciplinary Platform. She is President of Holistic Research Academic Association (HoRA), Editor in Chief of HOLISTICA Journal of Business and Public Administration and starting with 2020 President of EBEN-Romania. .
